To be eligible for further qualifications the student has to work 2 years for example in street construction (as a road builder), with a starting salary between 2000-2300 €
3. Qualification as Master of Craftsman
As the enterprises are keen for their employees to qualify, the same will be interested to support the candidate to qualify as a Master of Craftsman
The MA of Craftsman can be a full-time course or can be organised as part-time, perfectly integrated into your everyday work schedule.
You will be trained in small groups, by experienced professors and modern techniques of teaching.
The course consists of 4 parts. During the first 2 parts you will enhance your knowledge in your specific field (pipe laying, street building etc.).
In the second part of the course,
you will be acquainted with Business Administration, such as marketing human resources management, accounting, the setting up and management of operational processes.
The Master examination will equally consist of all the 4 Parts.
If you go for a part-time MA, you can keep earning. If you choose a fulltime option, the government and the chambers offer plenty of options to support you
4. Career as a trained Master of Craftsman in Street Construction/Road Builder
The average salary is 45000 € With 5 to 20 years of work experience the professional can earn up to 57000 € a year.
Masters in street construction are responsible for the technical and commercial management and organization of the company,
Master road builders advise customers directly, submit offers to them and prepare design drawings.
Master road buiders are responsible for processing tender documents and are preparing cost calculations and estimates.
Master road bulders monitor the timely and professional execution of work and keep an eye on the cost budget.
Master road buiders assign work tasks to employees and work an technically complicated and demanding tasks themselves.
Master road builders determine the work steps and techniques in advance in order to schedule the execution of the individual tasks.

the MA of Craftsman grants the candidate direct admission to BA programs in civil engineering
at Universities in Germany But as mentioned, after graduation, salaries will be equal to the MA
in Craftsmanship as the same is considered equal in status and responsibilities to the BA in Civil Engineering.
Many BA programs at German Universities in German medium language are available tuition free!

2.The BA candidates have two options to qualify and develop their career:
2.2. Master in Civil Engineering at any German University or University of Applied Sciences.
EUIC will support the student to get admission to the DSH course (academic language training) running alongside to the dual degree program with BPW/enterprise as well as to the University of choice. Please note that German medium MA courses at many German universities are tuition free. So, it's a great opportunity to further qualify free of cost!
2.3. Career as a trained Master of Craftsman in street construction /Road Builder
See point 2 for the diploma candidates, the same applies in terms of content of the program. Again, in terms of status and job profile the two Masters are equal. In terms of academics, the MA of Craftsman would be easier to attain for a person with a BA degree, so a lower hanging fruit to enhance the career status. The candidates would offer a fantastic profile for employers with the mix of practical experience and in-depth theoretical knowledge.
